How To: Create Your Own Custom, Polygon-Shaped Wallpapers for Android
While the new Lollipop wallpapers are great, they'll eventually get stale like all of the others. I've covered a bunch of cool Android wallpaper apps previously, including ones that give you psychedelic and shake-to-change options, but this time I was on the hunt for some geometrical-based ones.I really dug Crystals Wallpaper on iOS devices, which lets you create abstract polygon-shaped backgrounds, so I wanted to find something similar to that. What I found was PolyGen. While it doesn't function in exactly the same manner, it does let you create your own unique, polygon-shaped wallpapers. Please enable JavaScript to watch this video.
Step 1: Install PolyGenOn your Android device, visit the Google Play Store to install PolyGen: Generate Poly Pattern from developer Bartlomiej Niemtur.
Step 2: Generate Your DesignWhen you open the app, there will be two options displayed: "Refresh" and "Export." Ignore these for now and pull the "Details" tool bar out from the left side of the screen.From this side bar, you'll be able to adjust various aspects, like colors, color progression, color dynamics, cell size, and image size. You can even upload an image and convert it to polygon shapes. Once you've made your adjustments, tap "Generate."
Step 3: Save & ShareNow that your image is generated, select the share option to either export or save it to your gallery. Apply it as your wallpaper and enjoy the new look. It's very simple and limitless in the number of designs you can generate. 3. Create an XML file that represents the button style. Once you have created the files mentioned above, it's time to create your application button style. Now, you need to create a new XML file, called styles.xml (if you don't have it yet) where you can include more custom styles, into de values directory.
