How To: Watch Apple's WWDC 2018 Keynote for the New iOS, ARKit & Apple Watch Reveals
The next big event Apple is holding is WWDC 2018, its Worldwide Developers Conference, is about to happen. If you want to see the first glimpse of iOS 12 for yourself, as well ARKit improvements, Apple Watch news, and maybe even some macOS announcements, here's how you can tune into the event right at home from your computer or mobile device.Make sure to clear two hours up from your schedule, at least, starting at 10 a.m. PDT (1 p.m. EDT) on Monday, June 4, 2018. That's when the livestream will start on Apple's website. Official Requirements for Watching the KeynoteIn order to watch Apple's stream, you will need to have one of the following:iPad, iPhone, iPod touch using Safari on iOS 10 or later iPad, iPhone, iPod touch using the WWDC app on iOS 11.2 or later Mac using Safari on macOS Sierra 10.12 or later PC using Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 Apple TV (fourth/fifth gen.) using the updated Apple Events app or WWDC app Apple TV (second/third gen.) from the Apple Events channel Apple notes that you may be able to watch its keynote livestream using recent versions of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox that support MSE (Media Serice Extensions), as well as H.264 (video) and AAC (audio) formats. Other modern web browsers that support those requirements should also work.You can also AirPlay the livestream to an Apple TV (second gen. or later) as long as you have the latest Apple TV software or tvOS and latest iOS or macOS versions.
Where to Watch the Keynote PresentationAs noted above, you can access the WWDC 2018 keynote from the WWDC app on your iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, or Apple TV, as well as the Apple Events app or channel on the Apple TV. How Android Users Can WatchThere is not an "official" way for Android users to watch any WWDC 2018 livestreamed sessions. However, you will be able to access the live feed using the latest version of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, which both support MSE, H.264, and AAC as per Apple's requirements, on Android phones and tablets. Other modern web browsers will also likely work.You should be able to watch the Apple event via most popular web browsers on Amazon Fire tablets, too, if you're into Kindle tech.You can also do things the hard way by pasting the direct video feed of the keynote into VLC for Android or VLC for Fire.
