News: Galaxy S8 Oreo Update Rolling Out in the US
In a huge surprise, Verizon is the first US carrier to push out the Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ Android Oreo update. The update has been available in international markets for some time now, but this is the first report of a rollout in the United States. We've already ran down all the new features available in Android Oreo, so check out our full coverage if you're interested in those.Several readers over at Droid Life reported that the Galaxy S8 Oreo update hit their device earlier today. It is a bit strange since many others have stated they have no updates available. This could very well be a super slow roll out.What is more surprising is that the Verizon Galaxy S8 was not part of the original US Oreo Beta program sponsored by Samsung. Many US beta users will undoubtedly be upset that their device did not receive the update first.
